We were searching for something meaningful to do for PRIDE 2022, when fate stepped in and put Derek Warburton in our line of sight. Derek went from being a homeless teenager, subjected to bullying and abuse, to becoming a Hollywood stylist and media entrepreneur. We met him in Miami at the New You Magazine’s Beauty Awards where he was awarded the Style Icon Award of The Year. After hearing his beautiful, heartfelt speech, a partnership was born.

“I knew this was the beginning of a new chapter, and it is important to me to pay this forward. I want to honor the boy I was – for staying alive, which is why we partnered up with GLSEN,“ Derek says.
GLSEN supports student-led movements that aim to fight the battle against discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression and to prompt LGBTQ cultural inclusion and awareness.
”We are honored to partner with such an incredible organization and are donating 100% of the net proceeds from the collection’s sales back to GLSEN,’ says Derek. ‘I wish I had a program like this growing up in my school. I was one of the lucky ones who stayed alive and flourished. Unfortunately, not as many kids are as fortunate.”

The Derek Fabulous Collection is an array of colorful eyeshadow palettes, lip shades, and a tube of Warburton’s unique mix of rainbow glitter that embraces the boldness of self-expression and celebrates acceptance. Warburton elaborates on what this collection means to him: “PRIDE is a celebration rooted in standing up against those who want to extinguish the freedom to express all gender identities and sexual orientations. This collection will be a tribute to those who have stood up for true self-expression and the allies that have stood beside them.”
