Q: Do you ship to the UK? Do I have to pay duties now that the UK is no longer in the EU?

A: Yes we ship to the UK. Please see the below information from gov.uk about VAT, duties and rates:

Tax and duty
You’ll be contacted by Royal Mail, Parcelforce or the courier company if you need to pay any VAT, duty or delivery charges (‘handling fees’) to receive your goods.
They’ll send you a bill stating exactly which fees you need to pay.
They’ll normally hold your parcel for about 3 weeks. If you have not paid the bill by then, your parcel will be returned to the sender.
You will not have to pay anything to the delivery company to receive goods worth less than £135 unless they’re gifts over £39 or excise goods (for example, alcohol and tobacco).
VAT
VAT is charged on all goods (except for gifts worth £39 or less) sent from:
* outside the UK to Great Britain
* outside the UK and the EU to Northern Ireland
VAT is not charged on goods that are gifts worth £39 or less.
You pay VAT when you buy the goods or to the delivery company before you receive them. If you have to pay VAT to the delivery company, it’s charged on the total package value, including:
* the value of the goods
* postage, packaging and insurance
* any duty you owe
VAT is charged at the VAT rate that applies to your goods.
Goods worth £135 or less in total
If you bought the goods yourself and they are not excise goods, the seller will have included VAT in the total you paid.
You will need to pay VAT to the delivery company if the goods are:
* gifts sent to you by someone else and worth more than £39
* excise goods
Goods worth more than £135 in total
You will have to pay VAT to the delivery company either before the goods are delivered or when you collect them.
Customs Duty
You’ll be charged Customs Duty on all goods sent from outside the UK (or the UK and the EU if you’re in Northern Ireland) if they’re either:
* excise goods
* worth more than £135
If you’re charged Customs Duty, you’ll need to pay it on both:
* the price paid for the goods
* postage, packaging and insurance

Please note that ‘refused’ packages that are returned to our warehouse will incur a 20% restocking fee.

Q: Does FACE Stockholm test on animals?

A: FACE Stockholm cosmetics does not conduct or endorse cosmetic testing on animals.

Q: Do FACE Stockholm makeup products contain organic ingredients?

A: Although the ingredients in our cosmetics are not organic, all FACE Stockholm products are manufactured to the highest standards using naturally derived, quality ingredients, that are hypoallergenic and never tested on animals. There are few cosmetic products that are entirely organic or natural because they have a limited shelf life, often require refrigeration, may perform poorly, and can expire before they are used.

Q: Do FACE Stockholm products contain parabens?

A: According to Wikipedia: “Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bactericidal and fungicidal properties. They can be found in shampoos, moisturizers, etc and they are even used as food additives.

Their efficacy as preservatives, their long history of safe use — at least to the extent that scientific studies have not proven they are harmful — and the unproven efficacy of natural ingredients like grapefruit seed extract probably explains why parabens are so commonplace.“

Parabens are currently used in some FACE Stockholm formulations. As questions about their safety in everyday use arise, we will closely follow the scientific research and work to eliminate any ingredients determined to be harmful and look for effective alternatives as they become available.

A: Due to market fluctuation, there may be differences in pricing. Typically the result is that prices in the USA are lower.

A: Our products are sourced from the best suppliers worldwide. Our pencils come from Germany and Italy, foundations, shadows, lip products and nail polish from the USA, bags and brushes from the Far East, and skincare from the USA as well as products in development in Sweden.

Q: Why does FACE Stockholm discontinue products?

A: We apologize if we have discontinued your favorite FACE Stockholm product. There are a variety of reasons a product may be discontinued, before discontinuing any product we take into consideration several important factors:

  • Whether our inventory already includes or we can develop a similar product, which is comparable or superior in performance.
  • One or more of the ingredients needed in the manufacturing process has been discontinued by the supplier and we are unable to locate a comparable substitute.
